Isaac Jang
About
I'm Isaac. I'm a systems-oriented, trans-disciplinary designer who bridges strategic thinking with visual communication to create meaningful social impact. Drawing on my background in design, psychology, and diverse technical domains, I excel at addressing complex challenges that require understanding interconnected systems—whether reimagining transportation infrastructure or revitalizing endangered languages.
With a Master of Design degree, and a Certificate in Public Policy/Administration, my strengths include facilitating team collaboration, translating complex concepts into visually coherent artifacts, and connecting disparate disciplines to generate unconventional insights. With keen attention to visual detail and exceptional skills in writing and language, I create elegant solutions that respect people's attention (a limited resource in our current age) while advancing social good.
I'm passionate about applying my trans-disciplinary approach to organizations tackling systemic challenges at scale. Translating human values into desirable/feasible/viable solutions is both a weighty responsibility, and an exciting endeavor—one I'm eager to embark on.

When I'm not working, I enjoy bouldering with friends, trying out new recipes, working on home DIY projects (most recently, a custom oak handrail), and watching classic films.

I'm currently seeking full-time and contract roles! If you feel I could be a good fit for your team, don't hesitate to reach out—I'd love to connect.

What I'm listening to

The legendary radio show and NPR podcast, equal parts car stuff and relationship advice. Proving that mysterious engine noises sound better when diagnosed with a Boston accent and contagious laughter.

A classic for any design lover. Helping us to forever notice the quietly brilliant design touches all around us.

Using the dice-rolling framework of Dungeons and Dragons, this podcast tells the story of 4 dads flung into a fantasy world, on a quest to rescue their lost sons. Not a BDSM podcast!

Two sharp-witted British hosts dissect chilling true crime cases, deftly weaving in humor, commentary, and personal anecdotes.
